(Dimond is pronounced "Di-mond" so it is like the precious stone without the "a" and hence Gemstone Images is my little play on words)

About me: My educational background is in Computer Science and I have business interests in the software industry. I did consider taking formal training in photography as a post secondary career path, but in the end I ventured into software development instead. I have always maintained my passion for photography. With the advent of Digital SLR cameras a few years ago, I returned to photography with a new keenness and have not looked back. I hope it is apparent that I like being a photographer. My photographic interests venture into many different genres. The main ones are Lifestyle, Landscape, and People (portraits and working with models) but I don't limit myself.

With landscape work, I enjoy shooting outdoors and I prefer early morning when the light is pure and the world has yet to wake up. It can be a very peaceful and rewarding experience. But I'm equally comfortable in the studio and very much enjoy working in an environment where I'm in total control of the light.
